Sarah Yates is arranging coaching sessions with John Griffiths for the League teams.

Chulmleigh Recreational Association (CRA)
Howard Meadows came to discuss the CRA benefits to the club. CRA are the management body that organizes community use of the sports facilities and they now liaise with the college on our behalf. As a charity, they are able to apply for grant funding and we hope to be able to confirm the benefit of this soon.

Unfortunately, the college is imposing different terms upon our use of the courts, the CRA are representing our preferences in the negotiations.

The major difference is that the college wants to restrict access to the courts during college core hours i.e. 6.30am – 6pm to activities which are recognized as organized sessions with a CRB registered coach.

This means that the Wednesday coaching sessions can continue as arranged, but the Friday 2.30pm sessions cannot. Howard has negotiated access to the courts from 4pm on Fridays, sharing with the college (subject to college bookings). We have been asked to check availability at this time.

CRA COFFEE MORNING-SATURDAY 15th JANUARY- see attached poster.

Junior Rep
Jess Frankland has agreed to take on this role and will be contacting junior members shortly.

Tournaments
Pete Ward has some new ideas for the social sessions and tournaments. As Thursday evenings were underused, we want to introduce a new club time, possibly at weekends, so please return the attached questionnaire with your comments. He is also prepared to organize a Box league or Ladder competition for club members. Tournaments could be run over a series of weekends that you commit to, rather than over the whole season.

CTC questionnaire – to be returned by Monday January 31st 2011
